Recently we released a new version of the parallel package on Hackage, version 3.1.0.0. Had some fun this weekend writing Haskell in response to this blog post. It has been some time now (almost 2 years during my free time) that I: renewed with Functional Programming. You needn't to know Haskell to read this article. Have never even written a Hello World with one. The outcome has been particularily good in one setup, which I'd like to describe here. Reading a Haskell program is a lot easier than writing one. Download Programming in Haskell. ISBN: 0521692695,9780521692694 | 184 pages | 5 Mb. I have always sought ways to turn mobile devices into develoment platforms. Last weekend saw the 2013 edition of BayHac: a two and half day hackathon for Haskell programmers. It has some performance issues and its really my first real program in Haskell, so its a little rough around the edges, I'm sure. This year's event was held at Hacker Dojo's lovely new space in Mountain View, California. The complete article can be seen as a kind of literate program. The error messages from the compilers are very different, and due to type inference often hard to understand. In this blog post, I want to demonstrate that Haskell as supported by the Glasgow Haskell Compiler (GHC) can give us almost the same features. Now I'm going to make that inspiration into action by trying to learn Haskell in a day. I've always wanted to learn a functional programming language. This is a blog post of a different kind, because I spent quite some time writing it, and now I want you to enjoy it properly typeset.
